This is Milan just a few days ago, after the Piazza del Duomo -- the vast square in front of the famous Gothic cathedral, seat of the Archbishop of Milan -- was turned into a mosque. The cathedral was built in the 14th century on what has been a Christian site since the beginning of the fifth century. And the Italians are not happy.
The picture comes from a French blog, Galliawatch, which reports that Lega Nord, one of the parties in coalition with Berlusconi, has called this Islamic move an 'inconceivable provocation.' It was apparently meant to be a protest against the Israeli bombing of Gaza. I'd say it is a trailer. a glimpse of coming attractions, once Turkey and its 72m Muslim citizens join the Europe Without Frontiers.
